Who is eligible to attend?
Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® offers a cost-free, medically-supervised, residential camp experience to any child who has or has had cancer, on or off treatment, from infancy through high school graduation. In addition, siblings of the patient and the parents of young cancer patients can also attend.
For New Families / Campers:
Family Camp is open to ALL first-time families attending Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times®, regardless of the age of their campers. After your first experience, you can continue to attend Family Camp until your patient Camper turns 9, then Campers transition to Summer Camp and families age out of Family Camp.
We offer 5 weekend Family Camp sessions to choose from – 3 in the spring and 2 in the fall. Families are allowed to attend one camp session per year. Family Camp is Friday afternoon through Sunday early afternoon.
A Family Camp weekend is an opportunity for you to come together as a family to relax, play and connect in a caring environment. It’s a chance to form new bonds, receive support and build friendships with other families who understand what it means to maintain relationships and raise children during treatments and procedures for cancer. Camp is designed to be fun and supportive for all members of the family, giving everyone a chance to laugh, learn and love together.
Summer Sleep-Away Camp
Summer Camp is open to all patients and siblings who are at least 9 years old. Campers are allowed to attend Summer Camp until they graduate high school.
We offer 5 summer sessions to choose from, each one is 5 nights/6 days in length. We offer a wide variety of different activities that are fun and challenging which allow campers to explore their creativity, discover new skills and refine existing talents. At Camp, we take pride in our ability to include every camper, regardless of their treatment or ability, in all the fun!
Returning Families / Campers:
Family Camp is open to returning families whose patient camper is 0-8 years old. This Family Camp experience is open to the patient, all of their siblings, and 2 adults/caregivers.
Summer Sleep-Away Camp
Summer Camp is open to all patients and siblings, ages 9 – high school graduation.
