Read MoreUnifying the efforts of our six houses, a camp, two family rooms and other programs, the Southern California Chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities is committed to creating a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy.
Since 1980, the Southern California Ronald McDonald Houses serve as a inexpensive, and often free, “home–away–from–home” for families of critically–ill children undergoing treatment at nearby hospitals and medical facilities.
Each year Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times serves an average of 1,500 campers who are children with cancer so they can take a break from hospitals and find an opportunity to just be “ordinary kids.”
Our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide an “oasis” within the hospital for parents with children in pediatric or neonatal intensive care units; allowing them a chance to sleep, shower and recharge while remaining within steps of their hospitalized child.
We support the children of our Southland communities by awarding scholarships to high–achieving high school seniors and providing grants to non–profit organizations working to improve the lives of children.
