How much does it cost to stay at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House?
Although the actual cost to operate a room is approximately $150 a night, families are requested to donate $10 a night. However, the fee is waived for those who cannot afford it. The difference is made up through donations. Thanks to your contributions, the Orange County Ronald McDonald House never turns a family with a child in need of treatment away because of their inability to pay.
Who is eligible to stay at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House?
Children, from birth to 18, who are being treated at an Orange County hospital and their families are eligible. Reservations for families are made by the doctors, nurses, and social workers at our partner hospitals. Eligibility is determined by the child’s illness and the distance the family must travel for the child’s treatment.
How long do families usually stay at the Ronald McDonald House?
Stays can be as short as one night or extend to more than a year.
