An Important Update to the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southern California (RMHCSC) Scholarship Program:

The Scholarship Program Has Formally Closed

Thank you for your interest

For nearly 30 years, RMHCSC and local McDonald's operators have invested annually in the young people in our communities by helping to pave the way toward higher education for thousands of Southern California's brightest and most deserving students. RMHCSC and local McDonald's operators had awarded more than $5.7 million in funds to help ease the financial burden of a college education for nearly 3,500 scholarship recipients and their families.

On a global level, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) is in a time of tremendous growth, with opportunities to extend its reach and impact on children's health and well-being across the world. After careful consideration, RMHC Global has made the decision to focus resources on its core mission: ensuring families with sick children are able to stay together and near the care and resources they need, when they need it most through support of the Ronald McDonald House®, Ronald McDonald Family Room® and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®. As such, there will no longer be a Scholarship Program. Please know that RMHC SoCal has made provisions for all multi-year HACER recipients to receive the funds committed to them.

While this shift means that RMHCSC and Southern California McDonald's support of organizations in our communities will evolve, we remain committed as ever to making a direct, positive impact on children and families throughout our region.

We thank you for your interest and understanding.
