Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back on a regular basis? Our individual volunteer opportunities may be perfect for you. Whether you’re assisting with daily operations, helping maintain our beautiful House, or lending a hand at events, your time and effort truly make an impact.
Meal Transportation Volunteer
Help ensure our families have meals waiting for them after long days at the hospital. Volunteers pick up donated meals from local restaurants and community partners and deliver them to the House. This is a great option for volunteers looking to donate an hour of time weekly.
Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Garden & Grounds Volunteer
Help keep our outdoor spaces beautiful and welcoming for families to enjoy. Volunteers assist with watering, weeding, planting, general upkeep, and seasonal garden projects.

Lead Breakfast Chef
Start the morning by preparing breakfast for our guest families! Lead Breakfast Chefs independently prepare a simple breakfast in our House kitchen, helping families begin their day with a warm meal before heading to the hospital.
Availability: 7:30–9:30 a.m. on designated weekdays.
Best for: Volunteers who are comfortable working independently in a kitchen.
Requirements: 18+
Special Event Volunteer
Join us behind the scenes at some of our biggest events of the year, including Walk for Kids and SHINE Gala. Opportunities may include event setup and breakdown, registration, guest support, activity stations, and other event-day needs.

Community Engagement Volunteer
Help us share the Ronald McDonald House Pasadena mission throughout our community. Volunteers represent the House at local events such as high school fairs, farmers markets, and other community outreach opportunities.
This is a great fit for volunteers who enjoy meeting new people and are comfortable talking about our mission.
Requirements: 18+
House Volunteer
Support the day-to-day operations of Ronald McDonald House Pasadena and help us maintain a welcoming, comfortable environment for our guest families. Volunteers may assist with front desk support, organizing donations, light cleaning, restocking supplies, and other House needs.
Student Leadership Board
High school students can develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact for families at the House. Members participate in monthly meetings, service opportunities, community outreach, donation drives, and projects throughout the school year. More information can be found under "Student Opportunities".
Eligibility: High school students in grades 10–12.
Off-Site Service Opportunities
You don't have to volunteer at the House to make an impact! Individuals, families, schools, companies, and community groups can support our families from their own location by hosting an Amazon Wishlist, canned goods, paper goods, or other needed-item drive, or by assembling approved kits for the House.
Available to all ages
These opportunities are especially great for groups looking for a flexible service project that can accommodate a larger number of participants.
Take the first step and fill out our Individual Volunteer Inquiry Form.
Please note: Ronald McDonald House Pasadena is unable to accommodate court-ordered community service or probation-based hours.
