Ronald McDonald Family Room Volunteers are special. The role of the Ronald McDonald Family Room volunteer is to staff the Ronald McDonald Family Room, uphold all policies, and be supportive to the families who use the services of the Ronald McDonald Family Room. The volunteer’s role is crucial in maintaining a friendly, caring atmosphere at all times. Volunteers are asked to make a one year commitment for at least one four hour shift a week.
Marjie Fryer has been a Ronald McDonald Family Room Volunteer at CHOC Children's since its opening in 2007. Her dedication and compassion for the families is evident. “What these families go through is horrendous, shared Marjie. "Being able to offer a happy,smiling face is the best feeling.”
