Today, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California names Long Beach House Executive Director Cheri Bazley to Executive Director for the new Westside Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House set to open later this year

LONG BEACH, Calif. (January 6, 2022) – Today, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California names Long Beach House Executive Director Cheri Bazley to Executive Director for the new Westside Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House set to open later this year. After ten years of continued success with the Ronald McDonald House of Long Beach, Bazley will serve as Executive Director for both locations.

“I am thrilled to continue to serve as Executive Director for Ronald McDonald House of Long Beach and Westside Los Angeles,” said Bazley. “It has been a privilege to build such a strong bond within the Long Beach community and we look forward to creating similar relations in Westside Los Angeles. I’d like to thank the City of Long Beach for its continued support and looking forward to continuing to share our story and serve families and children in both communities.”

Over the last decade, Bazley and the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House team have grown the charity to become an integral part of the Long Beach community fostering key relations with the city’s bureaus, key elected officials, and family foundations to further its mission of ensuring families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s medical care.

On December 2nd, the Long Beach House held its seventh annual A Few Good Men Gala honoring and connecting with esteemed gentlemen and key figures in Long Beach’s philanthropic community. The event serves as the largest special event within the Southern California chapter and has continued to build awareness of Ronald McDonald House Charity’s mission. Under Bazley’s leadership, the Westside Los Angeles House is primed to build on the success of events like these and continue to foster charitable relations in the community.

“After a decade of tremendous success in helping the community of Long Beach, I am pleased to congratulate Cheri on her additional role that will further our chapter’s mission and deepen community relations,” said Vince Bryson, chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. “With the support of the board, staff, volunteers and families we serve, I’m confident we will ensure comfort, care and support for Westside Los Angeles families in critical need.”

“McDonald’s Southern California Owner/Operators, are pleased to congratulate Cheri on her additional role with Ronald McDonald House of Westside Los Angeles,” said Ron Piazza, founder of the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House and owner/operator of McDonald’s restaurants in the community. “Her dedication and strategic vision will enable both Houses to provide countless children and families who rely on Ronald McDonald House services every day with increased access to the services and compassion they need, when they need it most.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
