Sugey has two children with medical needs, but she has always had a place to stay — because of you.
Sugey first heard of the Ronald McDonald House when her son was born with epilepsy, and she was offered a room during his stay in the hospital.
The House would become a haven for her family once again when her daughter, Scarlett, was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Scarlett is now 5 and has gone through five major surgeries, each requiring weeks-long stays in the hospital.
“ I’m spending all day in the hospital, then coming to a bed and just relaxing.”
Sugey stays at the House whenever Scarlett is in the hospital, and she finds so much relief in the comforts there, like "housing, taking a shower, feeling comfortable. I’m spending all day in the hospital, then coming to a bed and just relaxing. Having your own space to think. You have a place to eat, something to eat. You can make friends."
