How much does it cost to stay at the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House?
Although the actual cost to operate a room is about $125 a night, families are asked to donate $25-$35 a night. However, the fee is waived for those who cannot afford it with the difference made up through donations. Thanks to community contributions, the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House never turns a family with a child in need of treatment away because of their inability to pay.

Who is eligible to stay at the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House?
Children, from birth to 18, who are being treated at a Long Beach hospital and their families are eligible. Reservations for families are made by the doctors, nurses, and social workers at our partner hospitals. Eligibility is determined by the child’s illness and the distance the family must travel for the child’s treatment.

Stays can be as short as one night or extend to more than a year.

Doesn’t McDonald’s fund Ronald McDonald Houses?
Local McDonald's restaurant owner/operators and the McDonald’s corporation through fundraising efforts and individual contributions generously fund portions of the annual operating costs of the House.
