Aitana was born without legs. Aitana’s parents were willing to go to the ends of the earth to find the best possible treatment for her, but the biggest worry they had (aside from the health of Aitana) was the question of where they would stay.
When the hospital connected Aitana’s mother, Dulce, to the Ronald McDonald House Pasadena, it was “a light at the end of a dark tunnel.” Knowing she didn’t have to worry about where they would stay every time Aitana needed medical care was a huge weight off her shoulders. Each stay was filled with wonderful meals, care, and laughter, especially during the holidays.
In Dulce’s words: “Having a comfortable, loving place to rest during the most difficult times of my life has been a blessing. Life has not been easy and there will continue to be ups and downs, but Ronald McDonald House Pasadena has been here for us through it all.”
